Retired Atlantic City Police Officer Killed in Egg Harbor Crash

A retired Atlantic City police officer died Thursday morning as the result of a crash between his motorcycle and a Ford F450 pick-up truck in Egg Harbor Township.

Police officers responded to the accident at 11:45 a.m. Thursday at Zion Road and Central Avenue in Bargaintown. The retired officer, 54, sustained multiple traumatic injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The pickup truck driver, 39, was uninjured.

Zion Road remained closed for three hours following the crash as police cleared the area and investigated the accident.

The Egg Harbor Township Police are continuing to investigate the crash.
