Paul R. D’Amato
Founding Partner Paul R. D’Amato continues his remarkable streak of Super Lawyers recognition, continuing his year-by-year selection to the list since 2005. With more than three decades of experience representing accident victims, Paul has built a national reputation for his work in construction accidents, product liability, and pharmaceutical litigation.
A graduate of Georgetown University Law School, Paul represents plaintiffs in both federal and county courts across New Jersey. His distinguished career extends beyond the courtroom: he previously served as Mayor of the City of Linwood and as New Jersey State Assemblyman for the Second District, where he sat on the Banking and Insurance Committee, Tourism and Gaming Committee, and Joint Legislative Committee on Ethical Standards.
Paul is the recipient of the AAJ Award for Monumental Efforts and the Robert N. McAllister Award for Excellence in the Profession of Law from the Atlantic County Bar Association, and has been recognized by New Jersey Magazine as one of the top Plaintiff Personal Injury Attorneys. He also received the Professional Lawyer of the Year Award from the Commission on Professionalism in the Law of the New Jersey State Bar Association.
Alexa D’Amato Barrera
Managing Partner Alexa D’Amato Barrera has been selected to Super Lawyers each consecutive year since 2014, following her recognition as a New Jersey Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2008 through 2012. As an integral member of the firm, Alexa practices plaintiffs’ personal injury law alongside her law partners, Stephen M. Van Natten and her father, Paul R. D’Amato, and focuses on representing victims in personal injury litigation.
Alexa earned her Juris Doctor from Rutgers School of Law in 2001 and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Stockton University in 1998. She has also served on the Board of Governors for the New Jersey Association for Justice and chaired the New Lawyers Division of the American Association for Justice, with over 4,000 members during her tenure.
A sought-after speaker and moderator, Alexa has presented at numerous continuing legal education programs for the New Jersey State Bar Association, the National Business Institute, the New Jersey Association for Justice, and the American Association for Justice. Alexa has been recognized by her high school, college, and local and state bar associations. She received the Young Lawyer of the Year Award from the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Atlantic County Bar Association. She received the Richard Stockton College Professional Achievement Award and was inducted into the Mainland Regional High School Hall of Fame. Most recently, she received the 2021 Meyer-Segal Award, which recognizes exemplary leadership in the community, her profession, the NJAJ, and the mission of the NJAJ Women Trial Lawyers Caucus.
Daniel R. White
Partner Daniel R. White’s selection to the 2026 Super Lawyers list marks a well-deserved milestone following his recent addition to the D’Amato Law Firm. Dan joined in January 2026 as a partner and Lead Counsel of the Workers’ Compensation Department, bringing his significant experience on behalf of employees to the firm.
Dan earned his Juris Doctor in 2014 from New England Law | Boston and is admitted to practice in New Jersey, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the United States Supreme Court.
His dedication to the legal profession and service to the community earned him the Honorable Benjamin A. Rimm Award in 2024 from the Atlantic County Bar Association. Dan is actively involved in his community as President of the nonprofit Community Mediation Services and as a Trustee of the Atlantic County Bar Association, and retains membership in the American Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association, and the Justice James H. Coleman, Jr. New Jersey Workers’ Compensation American Inn of Court.

The Super Lawyers designation is awarded through a rigorous, patented multiphase selection process that combines peer nominations, independent research, and evaluation by a blue-ribbon panel. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement, including verdicts and settlements, transactions, representative clients, experience, honors and awards, special licenses and certifications, position within the law firm, bar and professional activity, pro bono and community service, scholarly lectures and writings, education and employment background, and other outstanding achievements.
Only five percent of attorneys in each state are selected for inclusion in the Super Lawyers list.
